The starter phase has a strong influence on gut development and on the subsequent performance of broilers and turkey poults. At this stage, the young bird needs to start feed intake, establish its digestive functions and progressively build a functional caecal ecosystem — a key lever for a secure start.
During this phase, the starter feed must not only be nutrient-dense and digestible. It must also support the establishment of favourable caecal fermentation, without introducing any major constraint on formulation.
REALDYME® offers a targeted response to this challenge: a functional, standardised plant fibre, calibrated to stay within this caecal-access range reproducibly, batch after batch, at a level compatible with the constraints of starter formulations.
What makes the difference for the caeca is particle size. Above roughly 100 µm, caecal access becomes very limited; below it, access opens up — this is the range REALDYME®'s particle size targets.
In poultry, not all fibres act through the same mode of action. Coarse fibres are mainly used for their mechanical effects in the upper digestive tract, particularly on the gizzard. Soluble fibres with a prebiotic effect provide rapidly fermentable substrates, with specific fermentation kinetics.
REALDYME® follows a complementary approach: providing a micronised plant matrix that is consistent and progressively fermentable, designed to be accessible to the caecal compartment and to support the developing microbiota.
REALDYME® follows this approach from the starter phase onwards, to support the early establishment of the caecal microbiota.
Recommended inclusion rate: 1%, in starter feed.
